Praised for her “lyrical sensibility, captivating playing style, and poetic phrasing” (Music Times Magazine), Dutch concert pianist Sharon Niessen is recognized for performances that combine technical brilliance with deep emotional storytelling. A prizewinner of competitions including the Princess Christina Competition and IMKA International Music Competition, she has appeared in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and TivoliVredenburg Utrecht. As both a soloist and chamber musician, Niessen has collaborated with distinguished artists and orchestras across Europe and the United States has been featured on television and radio broadcasts. Her artistry is showcased in her recent live recital album featuring works by Schumann, Liszt, Rachmaninoff, and Debussy, praised for its spontaneity, musical depth, and expressive narrative.
